July 20, 2006 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #23 Item Title C-24 2006-2007 Memorandum of Understanding between the School District of Clay County and the Northeast Florida Community Hospice (Revised) Issue/Rationale Quite often students experience personal tragedies that require grief counseling beyond the scope of a school counselor or teacher and the effects of grief impact the student's academic success.  This Memorandum of Understanding is a partnership between the two agencies who will collaboratively provide grief counseling in the school setting when requested, as well as education to school staff on grief related topics, when requested. Recommended Action Approve the 2006-2007 Memorandum of Understanding between the School District of Clay County and the Northeast Florida Community Hospice as submitted.
